Who this covers
Permitfy is run by Vertek Ventures LLC. This policy explains what we collect when you use Permitfy, what we do with it and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Your name and email, and those of the members you invite.
- Permit numbers, addresses and nicknames you or your members enter.
- The public permit data we read from county portals for the permits you track. This can include property owner names, county staff and inspector names and phone numbers, and county comments.
- Alert settings, and anything you import from a CSV file.
- Your email, if you join the waitlist.
- Billing details. Stripe holds these. We never see full card numbers.
- Usage events, such as which screens you open.
- Server logs, such as IP address and browser type.
- A cookie that keeps you signed in.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data, show ads or use ad tracking. Analytics tell us only how the product is used, and share pages have none.
How we use it
We use your data to run Permitfy: to check the permits you track, send you alerts, bill you, keep the service secure, fix errors and improve the product. We check each permit once, however many accounts track it.
Emails we send
We send permit alerts, summaries and account and billing notices. You can turn off summaries and non-urgent alerts, and choose which alerts you get, in your alert settings. Account and billing notices can't be turned off.

How long we keep it
- Raw portal pages: 30 days, then deleted.
- A deleted firm: erased 30 days after you delete it.
- Backups: deleted after 35 days.
- A lapsed account: kept read-only for 90 days.
- Billing records: as long as tax law requires.
Your choices
- Export your data as CSV or JSON from Settings.
- Delete your firm from Settings.
- Email us to correct or delete something.
Security
We encrypt data in transit and limit who can reach it with access controls. No system is perfectly secure. To report a security problem, email security@permitfy.com.
Children
Permitfy is not for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
