Terms of Service

Last updated October 10, 2026

Who we are

Permitfy is run by Vertek Ventures LLC. In these terms, we, us and our mean Vertek Ventures LLC. You means the person or business using Permitfy.

Permitfy is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any county or government agency. We never collect county fees.

By creating an account or using Permitfy, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

What Permitfy does

Permitfy watches public county permit portals for the permits you add. When a permit changes, we email you and suggest what to do next.

Accounts and members

The person who creates an account is its owner. The owner is responsible for everything done under the account, including by members they invite.

Members you invite must accept these terms before they join. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has access.

Acceptable use

Use Permitfy only for lawful business purposes. Do not scrape, copy or resell our service or its data, and do not try to get around plan limits, rate limits or security.

Do not use share links to spread other people's data. Do not use Permitfy to overload or interfere with a county portal.

Share links

You can create a link that shows a permit to someone outside your account. When you create one, you confirm you are allowed to share what it shows.

Anyone who has the link can view the page until the link ends or you turn it off. Do not post a link anywhere you would not post the information.

Permit data can be wrong or late

Permit data comes from public county portals. It may be late, incomplete or wrong, and we may miss a change. The county portal is the official record. When Permitfy and a portal disagree, the portal is right.

Alerts and next-step suggestions are information, not legal, engineering or other professional advice. Check the portal and the county's rules before you act, and keep track of your own deadlines.

Coverage can pause or end

We may pause or end coverage of a county if the county or its software vendor objects, blocks our checks, or changes its source so we can no longer read it reliably. While coverage is paused, we mark the data as delayed.

If we end coverage of a county you track, we refund the unused part of what you paid, pro rata. We do not give other partial-month refunds.

Plans, trial and payment

Plans and prices are shown in the plan picker. Prices do not include sales tax. Payments are handled by Stripe.

Every account starts with a free trial of up to 14 days. We need a card to start the trial. Cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged.

If you agreed a different plan or price with us in writing, such as during the pilot, that agreement applies instead.

Automatic renewal and cancelling

Your plan renews automatically and continues until you cancel. Each renewal is for the same term as the plan you chose, monthly or annual, at the price shown when you chose it, unless we tell you about a change first.

To cancel, sign in and go to Settings. You can cancel online at any time without calling anyone. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and you are not charged again.

If you pay annually, we email you 30 to 45 days before the renewal with the price and a link to cancel. To avoid the charge, cancel before the renewal date.

We will tell you before any change to your price or plan takes effect, and the notice will say how to cancel.

Termination and lapsed accounts

You can stop using Permitfy or delete your firm in Settings at any time. A deleted firm is erased 30 days after you delete it.

If your trial ends unpaid or your subscription lapses, your account becomes read-only. Checks and alerts stop, but members can still sign in and export. We keep your data for 90 days, with reminders at 60 and 85 days. After that, we may delete it.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

No warranty

Permitfy is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. That includes missed deadlines, lost or delayed permits, and fees, fines or penalties, even if we were told they were possible.

Our total liability for any claim about Permitfy is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email the account owner or tell you in the app before it takes effect. Using Permitfy after that date means you accept the new terms. If you don't want them, cancel before then.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
